As I am writing this in mid April, the news of the day is focused on the verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial which is due tomorrow. The coverage I saw on one national network news program fretted over the fallout after the verdict is announced.
Specifically, the story as broadcast touched on schools in the Minneapolis are going to remote learning fearful of violence in the aftermath of the verdict’s announcement. It also talked about cities across the nation bracing for violence as well as ‘peaceful protests’ might break out in the aftermath.
Look, let’s make this simple for people... let’s just get a mob together and hang Derek Chauvin. Won’t that solve all the problems were having at the moment? I mean, honestly is there really a need for any trial when we’ve already arrived at a determination of what the outcome should be?
That’s justice, isn’t it?
Let’s just do away with any kind of trials altogether and just start hanging people and allowing mobs to do the work of courts.
It all works fine until you’re on the receiving end of a mob... one good long look at the Democrats in Congress should be clear evidence of that because all throughout 2020 while demonstrations were going on it was Democrats telling the nation that anything that happened was well and truly justified and that people who were losing their property, their businesses and being subjected to physical violence really didn’t have any kind of a right to complain.
Which worked all well and good until people who didn’t agree with those Congress folk arrived on their doorstep and now months later the Capitol and much of Washington is surrounding by troops and razor wire. Something to my knowledge hasn’t happened in quite a long time if ever.
The other day Maxine Waters took it upon herself to go to Minnesota and to encourage the people there to continue to act out:
Someone needs to explain to me how they can try to impeach a President for words like this but Maxine Waters can go unpunished. How is this responsible behavior from a member of government? If anyone was upset by the former President’s speech on January 6th and remains mum on this then they’re just hypocritical morons.
But, let’s get back to hanging Derek Chauvin... c’mon folks! LET’S JUST DO IT!
Justice really doesn’t mean anything anymore in this country anyway, it’s all about the party line! Also, excusing away the behavior of anyone who commits any crime in the aftermath... well that’s a bit of a non-starter too.
There is a jury making a determination in this matter, it’s something that we call a legal system and if it turns out with all the evidence that they don’t find Chauvin guilty of murder then that’s kind of all she wrote people. A court system is not in place to change the rules because someone wants a certain outcome and any intelligent, sane person should fear such a system if that’s the way it does work.
Truthfully, I’m not buying a lot of the bullshit that’s been flying around over the last few years especially when it comes to race. I guess that just makes me a racist, right?
Sorry, you can go fuck yourself on that point too. Not agreeing with your stupidity doesn’t make me anything other than someone who has some common sense and I can say that if people in this country don’t start showing a lot more of it relatively soon we are on a path that won’t end in a pretty place.
